Remove Non-Friable Asbestos
B-Class Licence for removal of non-friable asbestos
Did you know it is a legal requirement for anyone removing more than 10m² of non-friable asbestos (class B/restricted) to undertake approved training. In most Australian States this training forms part of the license application requirements.
Exposure to asbestos fibres can cause a range of diseases that are in many cases life threatening. Asbestos-related diseases such as Mesothelioma and Asbestosis have already killed thousands of Australians and the number will continue to rise, due to the delay in the onset of symptoms from the first or significant exposure to asbestos fibres. Outside of Australia, the UK is the only country with a higher death toll from asbestos-related diseases.
This course is designed for anyone who is likely to disturb, manage or remove the fabric of a building or structure, which may contain asbestos products. This includes both Tradesman and Owner / Occupiers undertaking DIY renovation work on commerical or domestic properties.
